Who we are
Verra Labs is a business run by Nathan Gupta and Jacob MacCormack. In this policy, "we" means the two of us. We decide how the personal information you send us is used, which makes us the data controller under UK data protection law.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at admin@verra-labs.com.
We're setting up a company, Verra Technologies Limited. Once it's registered, it will take over responsibility for your information and we'll update this page.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, business name and message. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send.
This website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it doesn't set cookies. Our hosting provider records technical information, including your IP address and browser type, to deliver the website and protect it from abuse.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to talk about working together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services, or taking steps you've asked for before entering into a contract.
Who else sees it
We don't sell your information or share it for marketing. Two companies handle it for us:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the messages sent through the contact form. Netlify is based in the United States and is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which UK law recognises as protecting personal data sent to certified US companies.
- Apple provides our email through iCloud Mail, so messages and replies are stored there.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and emails for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep what we need to run the work and meet our legal and tax obligations, usually for six years.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- stop using it, or limit how we use it
- send it to you or another organisation in a common format
You can also object to how we use your information. Email admin@verra-labs.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
